From 8 - 12 October 2012 the IICI provided training, at the IICI's headquarters in The Hague, to a group of 20 professionals in the field of investigations and sexual violence at the request of the United Kingdom's Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The participants had been selected to participate in missions to support national authorities in the investigation and prosecution of sexual and gender-based violence crimes in certain target countries identified by the UK for support, with the aim of tackling impunity for sexual violence crimes globally.
